Obituary for Aurèle Blacquière

(1928 – 2019)
Rogersville – At the Foyer Assomption of Rogersville, on Friday, November 1st, 2019, passed away at the age of 91, Aurèle Blacquière, husband of the late Anita Blacquière (Frenette). Born on April 11th, 1928, he was the son of the late Henri Blacquière and of the late Marguerite Gaudet.

He is survived by three daughters: Lydia (Emile Richard) of St-Hubert, Qc, Rina (Ronnie Cleveland) of Rogersville and Doris (Robert Whalen) of Moncton; one brother, Louis Blacquière (Lucille) of Bouctouche, two sisters-in-law; Nélida (the late Patrick Blacquière) of St-Louis and Maisie Brophy (the late Alvin Brophy, Aubrey Hare) of Sunny Corner; one brother-in-law, Livain Frenette (the late Kay, Marg) of Fredericton, two granddaughters; Tiffany and Vanessa, as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was predeceased by six sisters: Alma (the late Emile LeBlanc), Exelda (the late Blair Bourque), Eva (the late Clarence Richard), Sr Catherine (Soeur de la Providence), Florine (the late Ray Cogswell) and Claudia (the late Jacques Vautour) as well as four brothers: Méderic (the late Evelyn), Pierre (the late Phylis), baby Patrick and Patrick (Nelida).

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at salon ‘La Colombe’, 11325, hwy 126, Rogersville, on Tuesday, November 5th, at 2pm. The funerals will be celebrated in St-François-de-Sales Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville on Wednesday, November 6th, at 11am. Visitations hour: Tuesday, November 5th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm, and on Wednesday, November 6th from 9:30pm until the departure for the funerals.

A donation can be made for the palliative care unit of Foyer Assomption in Rogervsille.
