Obituary for Marjorie Findlater

It is with profound sadness that the family of Marjorie M. Findlater (Carr) of Woodstock, NB announce that she passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 89.

Daughter of the late Herbert and Hilda(Furlong) Carr; Marjorie was also predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Blair Eugene Findlater, and several siblings.

She is survived by daughters Linda Thompson (Tom) and Susan Crawford (Charles). She was proud of and loved by her four grandchildren, Krista Thompson (Shane), Craig Thompson (Ceara), Stephen Crawford (Jessica), Amy Crawford, and her five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters, Eleanor Flannigan (Jim) and Joan Scott, a brother, Arnold Carr, and several nieces and nephews.

Born into a large family, Marjorie lived her entire life in Woodstock, most of it with her husband Blair. She liked to quilt and knit, and enjoyed many evenings playing Bingo. Reading was a favorite pastime.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street Woodstock, NB. At Marjorie’s request, there will no Service or visitation at the Funeral Home. A Graveside service will take place at the Lindsay Cemetery on Saturday, November 2 at 11 AM. Rev. Michael Goodfellow will be officiating. www.scottfh.com
