Obituary for Yvon Pelletier
1944 – 2019
Yvon Pelletier, 74, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday February 21, 2019 at the Dr. Georges–L.–Dumont UHC. Born on November 4, 1944 in Whitebrooks, NB, he was the son of the late Ludger and Marion (Chamberlain) Pelletier.
Yvon enjoyed a successful career in industrial sales, culminated by 30 years as the founder of Brunswick Industrial. In business, which was his life, he was a gentleman of gentlemen, always making sure things were done right. Quick witted and very personable, he always enjoyed a good chat, even at the expense of his Maple Leafs. He loved to joke with everyone and did so until the end. He would have given the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie–Claire née Arsenault; two children: Michel (Darlene Doiron) of Shediac, and Carole of Moncton; one grandchild: Camille, which he cherished very much; 10 siblings: Claudette Poirier (Léonard) of Atholville, Reno (Lynda) of Quispamsis, Robert (Margaret) of Hamilton, ON, Lucille Nadeau (late Donald) of Eel River, Roma (Diane) and Roger (Valérie), both of Campbellton, Diane Iafrate (Larry), Jeanne D’Arc Klassen (Jim), and Nicole Pelletier (Shirley), all of Mississauga, ON, and Dolores Pelletier of Saint John; two brothers–in–law: Nazaire Roussy of Sept–Îles and Henri Lebel of Sarnia, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews and an extended family on his wife’s side.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Yvette, Marguerite, and Denise.
By request of Yvon, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858–1900) on Tuesday February 26 at 11 am. A celebration will follow at the funeral centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
A contribution to the Canadian Celiac Association would be appreciated. Words of comfort and donations can be made at: www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
