Jean–Louis Dubé of St. Paul Street Bathurst passed away at Chaleur Regional Hospital on September 21, 2018 at the age of 77. Born in Edmonston he was the son of late Lévite Dubé and late Aldéa Bonsant. he was the husband of late Beatrice Blier.
He is survived by his friend Alma Boudreau of Bathurst. Four children: Joanne (Peter Hall) Lower Sackville, NS, André (Lucinda) Timberlea, NS, Jean–Paul (Leisa) Saint John, NB, Denise (Wesley Logan) Grand Bay–Westfield, NB. Six grandchildren: Sophie, Louise, André–M, Christopher, Everard, Brandon. Judy Dunnett of Bathurst who brought up his children.
He was predeceased by his brother Paul and his grand–son Benjamin.
Mr. Dubé was a school teacher at B.H.S from 1971 until his retirement in 1998. He was very involved with the high school hockey team. He was a passionate sailor, enjoyed gardening, a storyteller and loved to sing old love ballads.
Family will receive visitation at Verret's Funeral Home, 1717 Sunset Dr. Bathurst on Wednesday, September 26 from 7 to 9 pm. and Thursday, September 26 from 11:30 am until funeral mass at 2 pm at Saint–Thérèse D'Avila Church in Robertville.
