Obituary for Carol Crouse

The passing of Carol Margaret (Fox) Crouse of Fredericton, NB, wife of Gerald "Gerry" Crouse occurred on Friday, May 21, 2010 at home, after a courageous 18 year battle with cancer. Born on December 12, 1938 in Temperance Vale, NB, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Margaret Fox. Carol was co-owner of Electric Motor Service which she ran with her husband Gerry for 47 years. She had a great love for travelling, gardening and reading. She was an active member of the Grace Memorial Church and enjoyed time spent with her friends of the Martha Group Book Club. Carol had a joyful and fulfilled life. Besides her husband, Carol is survived by her daughters, Terry (Brian) MacFarlane and Judy (John) Sharpe; her son, Michael Crouse; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jeremy, Jessy, Krista, Tyler and Kyle; brother, Alden Fox. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, 536 Northumberland Street at 2 pm with Pastor Doug Hapeman officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Doug Lawson, Roger Crisp, Basil Hawkins, Richard Pederson, Ron MacFarlane, Doug Colwell, Brian Till and Stan Stewart; Honourary Pallbearers will be Heather Akin, Maxine Coyle, Susanne Childs, Sherrie Evans, Linda Lamont, Joey Wiles, Karen Simmons, Myrna Till and Sharon Watson. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family extends their gratitude to the nurses of the Extra Mural Program and Dr. Beland for all of their efforts in helping to keep her in the comfort of her home.
